Pikmin 3 Deluxe is now out for the Nintendo Switch, allowing players to experience the real-time strategy puzzler on the go for the first time. Being successful on your daily missions in Pikmin 3 will involve you harvesting lots and lots of Pikmin. They’ll be weak at first, but if you use this particular item, you can give them an energy boost that raises their attack power. Here’s how to use Ultra-Spicy Spray in Pikmin 3.

How to Use Ultra-Spicy Spray in Pikmin 3

You can use your Ultra-Spicy Spray in Pikmin 3 Deluxe by holding the Y button to bring up your character switching menu and then pressing the up button on the directional pad.

Your character will then spray it around all of the Pikmin in your current party, invigorating them and increasing their strengths. It’s a great tool to use if you’re about to take down a boss or if you need to clear out an area filled with baddies. It’s worth noting that the powered-up effect won’t last forever but you can save a couple of Sprays to use for later.

To fill up the meter for the Ultra-Spicy Spray, you need to first find some Ultra-Spicy nectar lying around the maps. These are red piles of goo and when your explorers come into contact with it, it’ll be automatically be picked up. These will look exactly like the yellow nectar that grows your Pikmin’s sprouts into flowers.
