How to Cure Hunger in Metal Gear Survive

Recommended Videos

Along with thirst, your hunger level is another aspect you have to look out for while playing Metal Gear Survive. This is an important one because once it reaches zero, your character dies immediately, and you’ll have to restart from the last checkpoint. The hunger meter also determines your max health gauge, as indicated by a red marker on your health bar. If you health dips below the red marker, that’s the maximum amount of HP you’ll be able to regenerate over time.

Thankfully, hunger is pretty easy to manage, even early on in the game. All you have to do is hunt animals for their meat, and then cook it for consumption. Animals can be killed easily with weapons, and you can harvest them for parts. However, while eating raw meat does satiate hunger, it can also give you illnesses that may be more harmful in the long run. After getting meat, bring it back to the base camp and cook it over the campfire. You can then select the meal from your inventory and consume it from there.

Always keep your hunger level up as much as possible so that your health gauge will be at its maximum.
