How to Climb in Mass Effect Andromeda

Verticality is much more present in Mass Effect Andromeda than it was in previous entries. You can now jump, use a jetpack, and explore more freely. You can also climb to new areas as well, widening the field you’re able to search, and letting you set up better vantage points to pick off enemies.

In order to climb while playing, walk near a ledge and press Circle/B. This will have Ryder clamber onto the new platform as long as it’s low enough for them to reach. You can also climb after jumping, which is more like mantling actually (something that should be in all third-person games that allow climbing and jumping). Simply hold X/A after the jump to grab the ledge above, if you can reach it that is.

Make sure to search around every area, climbing up every ledge, to ensure you find all the resources and possible items to scan so you can give yourself the best advantage in Mass Effect Andromeda’s mysterious galaxy.
