HOW TO CHANGE YOUR APPEARANCE IN KINGDOM COME DELIVERANCE

Recommended Videos

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a sprawling open world RPG in which players shape the direction of the game’s narrative and the ability of its main protagonist entirely based on their own decisions and inputs. While its ultra-realistic medieval setting has been likened to “Skyrim without magic,” the Kingdom of Bohemia (the game’s locale) is actually closer to something like The Witcher 3 than Bethesda’s classic first-person RPG. It’s a far more gritty and somber environment because… you know, medieval life was tough. Also similar to The Witcher 3, Kingdom Come Deliverance is a story-driven experience in which you role-play as Henry, the son of a blacksmith and the only playable character in the game.

Players are not able to play the game as a different character, nor are they able to alter Henry’s facial features or body-type. However, there are many different ways to change your appearance, and though you won’t be able to see how Henry looks from a third person perspective while playing, you’ll see his attire during cutscenes as well as the inventory screen. Not to mention, Henry’s appearance has a huge impact on how other NPCs treat him during the game. Dress well and NPCs will respect him and offer him things that they might otherwise not if he was dressed poorly, such as better prices at merchants. On the other hand, wearing intimidating armor can dupe enemies into thinking you’re much stronger and more skilled than you in fact are. But there’s no hard and fast rule; players must change their attire depending on the situation.

Always keep in mind that in the name of realism, you won’t be able to carry around five different armor sets at all times. Henry is only capable of carrying one set of armor, though he can mix and match different armor types, and he can remove plate armor to expose his clothes underneath when appropriate to do so.

There are absolutely dozens of different outfits and armor to wear, so although you can’t change your appearance with regards to Henry’s body and face-type, there’s plenty of customization options to keep you entertained.
