PS4 – The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild

With the Switch launch only a few days away, fans are beginning to clamor for the newest installment in The Legend of Zelda franchise. This title has been the main selling point for Nintendo’s newest portable home console hybrid, as it has been featured prominently in a lot of the marketing materials for their new hardware. Naturally, other players who are not looking to buy the Switch will want to know if The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is coming to other consoles.

Sadly, like most Nintendo properties, this game has no plans to expand beyond Nintendo’s hardware, as both PS4 and Xbox One users will not receive this title. Nintendo has always been extremely cautious of letting their first party titles expand to anything beyond a device specifically designed by their company, which is why you don’t see Mario, Link, Samus, or Yoshi on any other non-Nintendo platform. However, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be coming to the Wii U, so if you are hesitant about purchasing the Switch you can buy Zelda for this console.

Just remember, purchasing The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on Wii U will come at a cost as the graphics and overall visuals have been downgraded due to the game initially being designed for the Switch. PS4 users are completely out of luck, so hopefully, you either have a Wii U, intend on purchasing a Switch, or Nintendo breaks their current business practices and lets it loose upon the gaming world. One thing is for certain, this will be a game that should not be missed by any fan of the series.
