Is The Inpatient Coming to Oculus Rift & HTC Vive?

Recommended Videos

This month, Sony’s PSVR will receive its second title from developer Supermassive Games. Rather than continuing the carnival ride-based fun of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, this latest title, The Inpatient, sees players assume the role of an inpatient (who’d have guessed, eh?) of a mental asylum. It’s down to you to uncover the dark secrets of the asylum, while also trying to figure out who you are and what you’re doing there. As a title that looks set to have its fair share of scary VR moments, some Oculus Rift and HTC Vive owners may be wondering if the title may also make its way to the two PC VR platforms.

Unfortunately, chances of that happening are very slim. Supermassive Games tends to focus almost solely on releasing titles for Sony’s PlayStation hardware and, as such, it’s unlikely that we’ll see The Inpatient or any of their other recent projects come to another platform. It’s even less likely to come to Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, because it’s a part of the Until Dawn series, acting as a prequel to the events of 2015’s campy horror title.

If any of this does happen to change and The Inpatient gets announced for Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
