How To Find and Beat the Jadeplume Terrorshroom in Genshin Impact

This strange creature will test your strength.

The Jadeplume Terrorshroom was introduced to Genshin Impact in Update 3.0. A Dendro-based boss, this terrifying and powerful bird-like creature will put you through your paces in combat. You should also be very careful when unleashing your abilities on this creature, as the boss’s activation mechanic can make life very awkward and could cost you a close fight.

The Jadeplume Terrorshroom can be found in the western area of the Vanarana region in Sumeru. Players who arrive at this location will see a rift shown on the map. Use the Dendro lash ability to get up to the Rift, then travel through it. This will drop you out in the Jadeplume Terrorshroom’s arena, where you will be able to fight the creature.

How to beat the Jadeplume Terrorshroom

The Jadeplume Terrorshroom will stalk the arena, doing plenty of slam and area-of-effect attacks, but the main mechanic to watch out for is the rage activation. As the creature takes damage from Electro sources and the Catalyze reaction, it will build up rage. The good news is that these stacks can be removed by hitting them with Pyro attacks, so make sure you bring a Pyro character that can hopefully spam abilities to ensure the boss never gets enraged.

If the boss does become enraged, it will do more powerful attacks until getting exhausted. You also need to be careful not to overdo the Pyro attacks, as this will cause the Terrorshroom to drop spores, damaging you as it attempts to escape the fire.

Interestingly, the creature takes increased damage from Quick Reactions caused by a mix of Electro and Dendro, and Quicken will allow you to do extra Electro damage when it is applied, known as Aggravate. This means you want a party with an Electro and Dendro character to do damage, then switch to Pyro to stripe any rage stacks that this causes. If you do enough Quicken and Aggravate damage, this can stun the boss, giving you a free window to pile on the damage.
