To change the class of a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, all you have to do is head into the Pause menu, and go to the Characters section, followed by the Class menu. Here, you can press L or R to select the character in mind, and pick your desired class.
Each class falls under one of three roles – attacker, defender, or healer. Attacker classes have a red weapon icon, defender classes have a blue weapon icon, and healer classes have a green weapon icon.
