Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander – How to Get More Crew

Crew members are one of the most important resources you’ll make use of in Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander. You’ll find that they’re also the most scarce resource in the game. However, you need them because your starbase needs manpower, and the crew is used for constructing ships and facilities, and also for selecting officer candidates whenever you need to make a replacement or an addition to your fleet.

To get more crew members in the game, you’ll need to explore the galaxy a little. Right now, the only reliable way of getting crew members is by visiting nearby systems, and looking for one that will produce crew over time. If you look at your galaxy map, you’ll see that some systems are indicated by a small cluster of orange and colorful rocks – these are the ones that will produce crew members for you. Simply send a fleet there to discover the system, and you’ll be able to visit the system over and over again to collect more crew members. At the beginning of the game, each visit should net you about 30 to 45 crew members, so make sure to use them wisely.
