How to Play GT Sport in VR

Recommended Videos

Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo series is finally making its debut on the PlayStation 4 in the form of GT Sport and fans are exited to jump into one of the game’s unique selling points, PlayStation VR compatibility.

Thankfully, jumping into the VR content in GT Sport is very simple thanks to the well-designed menus. To play in virtual reality, head to the Arcade area of the game in the top left of the main menu screen, where you will see the options to play single races, drift missions, time trials, and VR Tour.

Selecting the last option will prompt you to turn on your VR headset. Once it is connected you will be able to choose between racing and showroom. In showroom, you are transported to a dark room where you will be able to look closely at any of the game’s cars. Alternatively, you can take any of the cars in your garage for a spin on any of the tracks you have unlocked by increasing your level in the main game. Unfortunately, the main campaign and online modes cannot be played in VR, with the compatibility being limited to the section in Arcade mode. Arcade mode isn’t one of the modes that is restricted by internet connection and it can be played without being connected to the server, but you will not be able to save any progress.

That is how you play GT Sport in virtual reality. Be sure to check back with Twinfinite for more coverage.
