Equipping Weapon Parts – Ghost Recon Wildlands
In order to make your various rifles, pistols, and shotguns the best that they can be, you will want to eventually unlock and then equip the various weapon parts found in the world. These are obtained through intel locations that will be marked on your map via a blue gun icon and are stowed away in cases guarded by Santa Blanca soldiers. Once you obtain a weapons part, you can then open up your menu and go over to the Loadout tab on the right.
From here, you can then select either the weapon you have equipped or one in your inventory if you’re at a specific ammo container. Then click the edit button to open up the Gunsmith menu and then click Parts, which will disassemble your weapon of choice right before your eyes. You can then mix and match your various weapon parts that have been obtained in Ghost Recon Wildlands. There are seven distinct parts that can be edited:
- Scope
- Trigger
- Magazine
- Underbarrel
- Rail
- Barrel
- Muzzle
Not every gun will have all of these weapon parts available and special guns that you earn from killing underbosses cannot be customized. Select the category you wish to change and then scroll down the list until you find the item you want to equip. These have to be unlocked obviously, however you will notice any statistic changes made to the weapon on the right hand side.
We recommend having your primary weapon have a silencer on the muzzle since this can be removed in the middle of a battle if needed. Every weapon has different strengths and weaknesses so try and tailor your weapon parts to that specific skill. Sniper rifles have high accuracy and range so you’ll want to equip a scope with a large magnification rather than the iron sights. Understanding which weapon parts work best in Ghost Recon Wildlands is key to having easier firefights, so take some time to play around with the various customizable options.
