HOW TO CROUCH IN FORTNITE BATTLE ROYALE
A huge part of becoming an accomplished Fortnite Battle Royale player is about being comfortable with the game’s controls. With mining, traversal, shooting, and building all to keep in mind, there’s quite a bit to juggle at once. What you’ll notice when watching the best players, though, is that they’ve completed mastered how to manipulate their character smoothly. Using crouch plays a big part in Fortnite Battle Royale, both with respect to movement and shooting. It’s essential to stay concealed, to move quickly without kicking up visible dust, and most importantly, to keep your shooting accuracy high.
To crouch in Fortnite Battle Royale, simply hit R3 on PS4 and Xbox One, and CTRL on PC. This is part of the new default control scheme that came as part of a previous update to the game. If you want to revert back to having crouch as L1/ LB, you can change your controller layout in the settings menu by pressing the Options button on PS4 or Xbox One.
Be sure to make use of the crouch-sprint, which allows you to move quickly without kicking up the dust you would normally. When shooting an enemy that is unaware of your position, always line up the shot from a crouch position. That way, when the enemy turns to return fire, you can press home the advantage with accurate fire.
That’s all the information you need in order to crouch in Fortnite Battle Royale. For more useful guides on the game, such as our best multi chest spawn locations, or our complete map of all chest locations in the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
