Healing and Restoring Health in Fire Emblem Warriors

Recommended Videos

While the earlier missions shouldn’t pose too much of a problem, Fire Emblem Warriors will punish you with permadeath if you get too careless or complacent while playing on Classic mode. This means that if any of your characters’ HP should fall to zero in battle, they’ll be removed permanently from your game, with no way of recruiting them again.

Thankfully, you can prevent this from happening by keeping an eye on their health bars in battle and keeping them healthy. If a character’s health is low, you can simply control that character by pressing up or down on the d-pad. If you have enough vulneraries in your inventory (indicated by the little potion icon next to your health bar), simply press the ZR and A buttons together to use it. Healing items can be obtained by breaking vases and barrels around the maps, or through random enemy drops.

If you want to heal an NPC ally, you can do so by controlling a character with a stave like Lissa. However, stave characters can only use their healing powers a limited number of times, which is also indicated next to their health bars. Stave characters cannot heal themselves, but you can target an ally by holding down the ZR button and pressing A.
