Is Far Cry 5 Xbox One X Enhanced?

Recommended Videos

For the first time in the series, Far Cry is swapping the exotic locations of its predecessors for a more local flavor. The fictional Hope County is set amid the plentiful fields of Montana, US, and promises to be the prettiest location we’ve ever seen in the series. For owners of Microsoft’s supercharged Xbox One X console, it’s likely to look especially good, because although we don’t quite know the specifications as of yet, Far Cry 5 is definitely Xbox One X Enhanced.

A quick review of Microsoft’s confirmed list of Xbox One X Enhanced games gives us confirmation. The exact details of the upgrade haven’t yet been made official by Microsoft, but a recent Best Buy listing suggests the game will run at 1800p. The listing also mentions an improved framerate, which could well mean it runs at 60fps over the standard 1080p 30fps on vanilla Xbox One.

As soon as we’re made aware of official listings, we’ll be sure to update this post. For now, that’s all the information we have about whether Far Cry 5 is Xbox One X Enhanced. For more guides and information on the game, check out our wiki page.
