Age of Airships
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
Fallout 4 has many pre-war vehicles scattered around the open world. Most of these cars are usually just used for materials, meaning you can’t actually use them. With this mod, however, you can bring in a slew of airships in the game that you can actually use. On top of that, the mod even adds a new mission that makes you feel as if you’re in a completely different timeline. Most of the vehicles act as your base, so you can decorate it to your heart’s content. Some airships you can look forward to are the Red Rose, USS Akron, Achilles & Heracles, Agamemnon, and the Graf Zeppelin.
Magnificent Spectacle Island
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
If you’ve grown tired of the devastating wasteland setting, then this mod is for you. Unlike most of the locations in Fallout 4, Spectacle Island was unaffected by the effects of the nuclear explosion. This island offers a stunning vista filled with lush beauty and wildlife. Trees are healthy and the water is fresh, thriving with plenty of fish for the picking. But beware, as some mirelurks have taken over the area. If you’re up to the task, why not head on over and explore the island?
Nuka World Plus
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
Nuka-World is great… until after you finish the quest, “Open Season.” Once that’s done, the DLC gets pretty stale and you’re left with an abandoned amusement park. Not very fun and definitely not worth the purchase, depending on how you look at it. That said, this Fallout 4 mod shakes things up a bit by adding a handful of new activities. For starters, you can now defend Nuka-Town from incoming attacks such as Raiders and enemy factions. There are also some newly added quest lines you can take up. Overall, this adds another layer of fun in your stay at Nuka-World.
Vault-Tec’s AROD Water Purifier
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
Drinking purified water is one of the best ways to cure radiation. The thing is, though, that most bodies of water in the open world are contaminated. You’ll have to purify them first before you can start drinking it. If the process is too tedious for you, then you can use this mod to add a potent water purifier in the game. You can set up the AROD water purifier on water or land, and it is equivalent to 25 industrial purifiers. The military grade armor plating also makes this a sturdy device, protecting it from any incoming attacks.
Far Harbor Custom Settlements Pack
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
If the Far Harbor DLC pack didn’t have enough settlements for you, you can use this mod to add a whopping 11 new establishments. You can access these new settlements as soon as you load up the DLC. On top of that, they’re spread far enough apart so you won’t be bumping into the same establishment twice (or thrice) as you explore the island. Each settlement has their own clearance quests, supply support lines, and large build areas as well. These new settlements cover areas such as Gulper Island, Goose Cover, King’s Point, and Sutton Island.
Real Animated Poses
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
As the name implies, this mod adds a slew of animated poses to the game. Specifically, the mod adds seven sitting, kneeling, and standing poses, totaling to 21 new poses. While it might not add much to the game, this is perfect for those who like to take stunning cinematic screenshots. Alternatively, these poses are also perfect for those who like to role-play as their character.
Death Matters
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
This mod is great for players who have been looking for a more challenging experience in the game. Dying in the game isn’t so much of an issue when you know you’ll just pop right back at your last save point. With this mod, however, you’ll lose all non-quest items and your body will be left behind where you died. On top of that, you’ll be taken back to the nearest settlement and you take control of a non-unique settler. You’ll have to make sure your settlements are populated with new hosts living there unless you want to start all the way back at Sanctuary. Needless to say, you’ll only start off with the most basic armor and weapons when you respawn.
Disable Minutemen’s Annoying Quests
8 Best Fallout 4 Mods of April 2018
The Minutemen are one of the many factions you can join in Fallout 4. These guys label themselves as the people’s protectors, so most of their quests will have you taking down Raiders and other threats that lurk around the wasteland. Most of their missions are fun, for the most part, except for a few annoying quests here and there. If you want to skip the tedious work, you can use this mod to disable all the annoying quests. These missions include: Ghoul Problem, Greenskins, Kidnapping, Raider Troubles, and Stop the Raiding. All the other quests will remain untouched.
