Is Dragon Quests XI Coming to PC?
Dragon Quest is basically the granddaddy of the JRPG genre, and the series is over 30 years old at this point. The latest entry, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, has sold incredibly well in Japan and it’s finally making its way west. The latest entry retains the classic turn-based combat of the franchise while introducing a gorgeous new world, graphics engine, and cast of characters. Dragon Quest XI is, of course, coming to PS4, but fans may be wondering if they’ll see it on any other systems, particularly PC.
Well, the good news is that Dragon Quest XI is coming to PC – the same day as the PS4 version in fact – on September 4, 201,8Â via Steam. This marks the first time the mainline series, outside of Dragon Quest X in Japan, has appeared on PC.
In traditional Dragon Quest style, the new game has you taking control of a young man that finds out he’s the reincarnation of a legendary hero and has to go on a mission to save the world from darkness. The game takes place in the world of Lotozetasia, where it’s believed that The Great Tree of Life is responsible for creating all life.
