Long gone are the snowy streets of New York City from the first Division game. Instead, The Division 2 takes place six months after the original game in Washington D.C. Battling through the brutal heat of Summer, The Division is tasked with helping contain the chaos that is running rampant in this new territory. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering what the map looks like in Division 2.

As you can see in the image, the map boasts many similarities in structure to the original game. Your overall level still gates sections of the map.

While you can still go into those areas if you’re under-leveled, it’s best to wait until you’re properly geared up and leveled before taking on that challenge.

Your base of operations in The Division 2 is the White House, and it is where you will do all of your crafting and leveling up, and it’s conveniently placed in the middle of the map.

The Dark Zone has returned but this time there are three distinct areas on the map marked by the giant purple biohazard symbols.

This is where you will gain some of the best loot in the game but beware of other players who are ready to snatch it from your cold dead fingertips.

The big red skull icons on the map represent Strongholds, which are high-level dungeons players will gain access to throughout the campaign.

Completing these will also grant you a good amount of experience as well as high-level loot, especially if you crank up the difficulty to hard.

There are plenty of nooks and crannies around the map to find crafting materials and resources so be sure to check every corner.
