With all the “new” that’s been thrown into Destiny 2, you just knew that they had to throw in some new exotics as well. There’s a plethora of new weapons, armor, and other goodies with golden backgrounds so you can give your guardian the very best. Let’s kick things off with the weapons.

Exotic Kinetic Weapons

Sweet Business (Auto Rifle) Kinetic

Payday – Large magazine, increased accuracy when firing from the hip.

Polygonal Rifling – Increased Stability

High-Caliber Rounds – Increased range, shots knock back targets.

Business Time – Holding trigger boosts range and rate of fire. Automatically loads ammo pickups into the magazine.

Composite Stock – Increased handling speed and stability.

Vigilance Wing (Pulse Rifle) Kinetic

Harsh Truths – Fires 5-round bursts. Gain increased movement speed and health regeneration when a nearby ally is killed.

Corkscrew Rifling – Increased range, stability, and handling speed.

Alloy Magazine – Faster reloads when empty.

Composite Stock – Increased handling speed and stability.

Sturm (Hand Cannon) Kinetic

Accomplice – Kills With this weapon fill the magazine of your equipped energy weapon (uses ammo reserves).

Extended Barrel – Increased range, decreased handling speed.

Extended Mag – Larger magazine but slower reload.

Storm and Distress – Kill grants bonus precision damage.

Combat Grip – Less vertical recoil, increased stability.

MIDA Multi-Tool (Scout Rifle) Kinetic

MIDA Multi-Tool – Boosts movement speed.

Corkscrew Rifling –  Increased range, stability, and handling speed.

High-Caliber Rounds – Increased range, shots knock back targets.

MIDA Radar – Radar stays active while aiming down sights.

Hand-Laid Stock – Increased stability.

Bonus – If you have the legendary submachine gun, MIDA Mini-Tool equipped, this exotic gains bonus benefits.

Rat King (Sidearm) Kinetic

Rat Pack – If nearby Fireteam members have this gun equipped, it becomes stronger.

Smallbore – Increased range and stability.

Tactical Mag – Increases stability, reload speed, and magazine size.

Vermin – Reloading immediately after a kill grants a brief period of invisibility.

Smooth Grip – Increased stability and handling speed.

Exotic Energy Weapons

Sunshot (Hand Cannon) Solar

Sunburn – Fires explosive rounds that highlight hit targets.

Chambered Compensator – Increased stability and improved recoil. Decreased handling speed.

Accurized Rounds – Has increased range.

Sun Blast – Killed targets explode.

Textured Grip – Increased handling speed, slightly decreased stability.

Hard Light (Auto Rifle) – Arc, Solar, and Void

Volatile Light – Shots have no damage falloff, overpenetrate targets, and ricochet off solid surfaces.

Polygonal Rifling – Increased stability.

Alloy Magazine – Reloads faster when magazine is empty.

Arc/Solar/Void Cores – can change burn.

Composite Stock – Increases stability but lowers handling speed.

Riskrunner (Submachine Gun) Arc

Arc Conductor – Taking Arc damage increases Riskrunner’s damage and your Arc resistance. Kills extend the time of this perk.

Arrowhead Beak – Increased handling speed and stability.

Extended Mag – Larger magazine but slower reloads.

Superconductor – When Arc Conductor is active, chance to create chain lighting and get ammo back with each shot.

Short-Action Stock – Increased handling speed.

Skyburner’s Oath (Scout Rifle) Solar

Slug Rifle – Fires Solar slugs that do increased damage when aiming down sights.

Extended Barrel – Increased range, slower handling speed.

Extended Mag – Larger magazine, slower reloads.

For the Empire – Fires full auto, does extra damage to Cabal, penetrates Phalanx Shields.

Short-Action Stock – Increased handling speed.

Graviton Lance (Pulse Rifle) – Void

Black Hole – Third shot of burst rips a hole through spacetime, doing increased damage and recoil with no damage fall-off.

Hammer-Forged Rifling – Increased Range.

Accurized Rounds – Increases Range

Cosmology – Kills cause enemies to detonate.

Fitted Stock – Increases stability, decreases handling speed.

Exotic Power Weapons

The Wardcliff Coil (Formerly the Dubious Volley) Rocket Launcher Arc

Mad Scientist – This weapon fires a volley of rockets.

Volatile Launch- This weapon is optimized for an especially explosive payload. Increased blast radius, but slower handling and projectile speed.

Extended Mag – Larger mag but slower reload.

Mechanized Autoloader – Reloads automatically when you pick up power ammo.

Composite Stock –  Increases stability and handling speed.

Tractor Cannon  (Shotgun) Void

Repulsor Force – This weapon fires a powerful impulse to push enemies away.

Extended Barre -: Increased range, decreased handling speed.

Particle Repeater – Constrains recoil for every bolt. Increases stability.

The Scientific Method – Damaging an opponent temporarily increases speed and handling.

Composite Stock – Increases stability and handling speed.

Merciless (Fusion Rifle) Solar

Conserve Momentum – Non-lethal hits with projectiles make this weapon charge faster until its wielder gets a kill.

Chambered Compensator – Increases stability and and reduces recoil. Slightly decreases handling speed.

Extended Mag – Larger magazine, slower reload.

Impetus – Reloading immediately after a kill increases damage.

Fitted Stock – More stability but lowers handling speed.

The Prospector (Grenade Launcher) Arc

Excavation – Hold down fire to fire grenades. Release trigger to detonate all grenades at once.

Volatile Launch – Increased blast radius, decreased handling and projectile speed.

Augmented Drum – Increased magazine, slower reload.

Full Auto – fully automatic weapon

Hand-Laid Stock – Optimized recoil control, increased stability.

D.A.R.C.I. (Sniper Rifle) Arc

Personal Assistant – Aiming at an enemy reveals health and other crucial info.

Extended Barrel – Increased range, decreased handling speed.

Extended Mag – Larger magazine but slower reload.

Target Acquired – When using Personal Assistant D.A.R.C.I. has better target acquisition and deals higher precision damage.

Short-Action Stock – Increased handling speed.

Legend of Acrius (Shotgun – Arc)

Shock Blast – Fires high-damage Arc energy that overpenetrates enemies.

Full Bore – Increased range at expense of stability ability and handling speed.

Accurized Rounds – Increases range.

Long March – Radar detects enemies from farther away when weapon is equipped.

Fitted Stock – Higher stability, lower handling speed.

Coldheart (Trace Rifle) – Arc

Cold Fusion – Shoots a steady cold fusion-powered laser.

Extended Barrel – Increased range, slower handling speed.

Enhanced Battery – Larger magazine.

Longest Winter – Does exponentially more damage the longer laser is on a single target.

Hand-Laid Stock – Increased stability.

Fighting Lion (Grenade Launcher) – Void

Delayed Gratification – Grenades bounce off surfaces. Hold trigger to fire, release to detonate.

Countermass – INcreased stability and handling speed.

Implosion Rounds – Increased projectile speed and stability, decreased blast radius.

Thin the Herd – Direct hits do more damage to shielded enemies. Rapid kills against grenade-damaged enemies refill magazine.

Short-Action Stock – increased handling speed.

As you can see, there are plenty of new exotic weapons to collect and use when you finally confront Ghaul and take back your home in Destiny 2.

There is also some new exotic armor in Destiny 2 as well. We’ll be updating this list of exotics as we continue to dive into the game, but we’ve found some really cool ones thus far, and there are even a few returning pieces. Check out these new exotics you’ll be able to equip to your guardian in Destiny 2 below. 

Warlock Armor

Eye of Another World (Helmet) – Highlights priority enemies (usually the one who’s hitting you the most) and increases charge rate of abilities.

Crown of tempests (Helmet) – Arc ability kills help to recharge all Arc abilities.

Nezarec’s Sin (Helmet) – Void damage kills recharge Void abilities.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Helmet) – Gain greater defense while casting Nova Bomb. Nova Bomb kills provide super energy.

Wings of Sacred Dawn (Chest) – Float while aiming with Dawnblade.

Starfire Protocol (Chest)

Sunbracers (Gauntlets) – Solar melee abilities grant grenade energy and increases the duration of Solar Grenades.

Winter’s Guile (Gauntlets) – Eliminating enemies with melee attacks increases your melee damage.

Karnstein Armlets (Gauntlets)

Lunafaction Boots (Legs)

Hunter Exotics

Foetracer (Helmet) – Marks targeted enemies.

Celestial Nighthawk (Helmet) – Modifies Golden Gun (Gunslinger super) to fire a single, high damage round. Victims killed explode.

Knucklehead Radar (Helmet)

Mechaneers Tricksleeves (Gauntlets) – Increases sidearm ready and reload speed.

Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Gauntlets)

Maiden Flux (Chest) – Quick attacks with your Arc staff increases damage for successive attacks.

The Dragon’s Shadow (Chest) – Increases movement and weapon handling speed after dodging.

Lucky Raspberry (Chest) – Increases chaining abilities of Arcbolt grenade and has a chance of recharging the grenade each time an enemy takes damage from it.

Lucky Pants (Legs) – Increases hand cannon ready speed and accuracy.

Orpheus Rig (Legs) – Each enemy caught in the Shadowshot’s tethers grants you some energy for each of your abilities. 

StoMP-EE5 (Legs) – Increases sprint speed, slide distance, and jump height.

Titan Exotics

Insurmountable Skullfort (Titan Helmet) –Kill with Arc melee trigger health regen and restore some melee energy.

Mask of the Quiet One (Titan Helmet) – Grants ability energy when you take damage, and triggers health regen when you inflict Void damage.

Doom Fang Pauldron (Titan Gauntlets) – Shield Bash kills recharge Shield Throw. Melee ability kills recharge Sentinel Shield Super.

Synthocepts (Titan Gauntlets) – Increase melee lunge range, and improved damage when surrounded.

Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan Chest) – Generates an additional Orb of Light from super kills, and provides a healing pulse when Barricade is activated.

Lion Rampant (Titan Legs) – Provides additional aerial maneuverability.

Peacekeepers (Titan Legs) – reloads stowed submachine guns and allows you to ready them instantly.

Exotic Ships

Yup, there are exotic ships in Destiny 2, and they each come equipped with a Transmat Mod that changes how you spawn in as well as a random perk (plus you can use Shaders on them).

Ships aren’t the only vehicles to get in on the action in Destiny 2. You know they had to give us some exotics when it came to Sparrows, too. Sadly, they still don’t shoot, but they definitely look pretty darn sweet.

Emotes became a huge hit in Destiny, so it’s absolutely no surprise that they’re back in Destiny 2, and these exotics take things up a notch. You still have your funny animations, but now there are props made out of light to really make them shine. 

Salty – Yup, Salt Bae has made it to Destiny 2.

Flip Out – Show your frustration by flipping a table made of light.

Spicy Ramen – Now that’s a good bowl of ramen.

Six Shooter – Line them up and shoot them down.
