Recommended Videos

Destiny 2 Forsaken is bringing in tons of new features to the game, including different raids, weapons, modes, raids, and items. During your journey, you might have come across these strange items known as Dark Fragments. You might be surprised to see them sitting in your inventory without actually knowing what they do. That said, here’s how you can collect these Dark Fragments and what they actually do in Destiny 2 Forsaken.

Dark Fragments are actually a new currency used in The Dreaming City, the new end game area for Destiny 2: Forsaken. It’s not an area that you’ll have access to right away. You’ll need to first complete the campaign and then the post-campaign quest offered by Petra. If you’re here though, you likely already have done all that, otherwise you wouldn’t even know what they are.

If you’ve managed to collect a few Dark Fragments, they can be used to to exchange items with Petra in The Dreaming City such as charges of light for the blind well. If you’ve been trying to farm these items in Destiny 2 Forsaken, you have a chance of getting them most activities, but guaranteed from successful Blind Well completions and bounties. Before you do try farming for any Dark Fragments, however, you should try raising your level to at least 500, preferably closer to 520 if you plan on grinding in those areas. The Dreaming City is pretty tough, and you’ll definitely need to have obtained a few powerful engrams at the max soft cap level to compete.

That’s basically everything you need to know about these mysterious Dark Fragments in Destiny 2 Forsaken. If you’re looking for more help on the game, be sure to take a look at our handy wiki. It’s filled with all sorts of useful guides that will help you on your journey.
