What You Need to Know About Icon Points in The Crew 2

The Crew 2 will have you completing all manner of races and challenges in air, sea, and land vehicles across the United States. Why? Because you want to be the best racer there ever was and get all of the fame and glory that comes with it. As such, completing races and progressing through The Crew 2 will result in your earning followers and leveling up your Fame. Eventually, when you’ve poured a good amount of time into The Crew 2 and you’ve reached the level of Icon, you’ll begin earning Icon points. If you’re a little confused about how they work in the game, fear not, we’re here to help.

Icon points in The Crew 2 are essentially a means of allowing you to continue to be rewarded for earning followers once you’ve reached the top. To earn Icon points, you’ll simply need to fill the Fame progress bar by continuing to earn followers once you’ve reached the Icon fame level. Each time you do, you’ll earn an Icon point that can be spent on perks or bonuses to help improve your time on the track, or net you better rewards.

To spend Icon points and see what perks and abilities you can spend them on in The Crew 2, you’ll need to hit the Options button on PS4, or the Menu button on Xbox One. From here, you’re going to use L1 and R1 or LB and RB to tab over to the Pilot tab. Here, you should see the Icon Pts sub-menu. Press X or A to open this up. You’ll now see three separate columns of perks and abilities that you can spend Icon points on. Multiple points can be poured into these in order to increase their effectiveness.

To spend your Icon Points in The Crew 2, simply use the d-pad to navigate between the three columns – Comfort, Vehicle, Gameplay and then up and down on the d-pad to read the descriptions of each perk/ ability. When you’ve found the one you want to spend Icon Points on, simply press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to assign a point to it. The large number next to each perk indicates how many Icon points can be poured into each one.

From that point on, the abilities that you’ve spent your points on will automatically work. You don’t have to do anything to get them to activate in The Crew 2.
