In Chernobylite, crafting is Igor’s best friend. Whether he is out on mission or back at base, this feature makes it so that the team can survive and prosper amidst the harsh environments they find themselves in. Here is everything you need to know about how to craft in Chernobylite.
Crafting is beyond a necessity in Chernobylite, as you’ll need to craft in order to create the guns, armor, base, and healing items that help Igor and his crew survive. The first thing you’ll need in order to craft is a workstation. These can be found both at the base and while on missions.
Crafting on Missions in Chernobylite
While out in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Chernobylite, you’ll run into plenty of different workstations, which range from stoves to gunsmith areas that let you craft items accordingly. All you have to do to craft at one of these stations is have the necessary items.
As such, if you run into a basic field workshop and want to make some ammo, just make sure that you have the ingredients that it calls for in the recipe. If you do, craft the item and press X or Square to pick it up once it is made.
Crafting at The Refuge
Crafting at The Refuge, Igor’s home base in Chernobylite, is a little different, as you’ll need to press the back button to bring up the crafting workshop menu. Here, as long as you have the necessary ingredients found out in the field, like electrical and mechanical parts, you can create workstations and place them within the base.
This is considerably helpful, as each workstation will always be available to you unless you delete it for some reason. Keep in mind that you’ll not only need to craft plenty of quality-of-life items for Igor and his crew, like sleeping bags, but you’ll also need to manage the space accordingly as well.
