How to Get Loop of 4N631 in Borderlands 3

Unlike most of the other cool weapons and gear that you can get by farming specific bosses or through random loot drops, the Loop of 4N631 is a Rare and unique shield that you can only obtain through side quest completion. More specifically, you need to clear the Childhood’s End side quest found in Pandora.

Childhood’s End

To get this side quest, you need to progress through the main story until you return to Pandora for the second time. After you unlock the Konrad’s Hold area in Pandora, you can accept this mission in that area from the storage room door.

This quest is pretty straightforward and simply requires you to activate a water purifier while examining Hyperion sentries and learning more about Handsome Jack along the way. After clearing the mission, you’ll just have to go back to Roland’s Rest where you’ll get the shield as your reward.

Stats and Perks

While the stats on the shield are random, the nice thing about the Loop of 4N631 is that it gives you Shock resistance, and also reduces your Action Skill cooldown period when the shield is depleted.

This actually makes it pretty useful for character builds that are centered around your Action Skills, or bruiser/melee builds that specialize in getting up close and personal with the enemies.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Loop of 4N631 in Borderlands 3. Be sure to check our Borderlands 3 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
