Immersive World Events
When you’re not busy slaying dragons or trotting off on some side quest, you’re usually spending most of your time on the road in Skyrim. Sure, quick travel is always an option, but what better way to experience the open world than by walking (or horseback). That said, the world can feel a bit monotonous and uneventful, for the most part, so you can use this mod to spice things up. The Immersive World Events mod adds a slew of new events to the game that aims to add some variety in your travels. These scenes can trigger when you’re out exploring or even when you’re in a tavern, which is quite interesting and sometimes unexpected. You can grab the mod here if you’re interested.
Hunting is Rewarding
There are plenty of ways to earn coin in Skyrim, from selling items to completing quests. One particular method you can try early on in the game is hunt animals and sell their pelts, although you won’t get much money later on if you continue that line of work. If you love hunting and want to make it your personal profession, this Skyrim mod makes the activity much more rewarding. Epona – Zelda-Themed Standalone Horse
Following the Breath of the Wild collaboration on the Nintendo Switch, we’ve gotten an official Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and even the Champion Tunic. Unfortunately, we didn’t get Epona, despite her amiibo appearance in Breath of the Wild. If you have Skyrim on the PC, however, now’s your chance to nab the horse for yourself with this Skyrim mod. You can find her near the Whiterun Stables and she is a pretty simple, go-to horse when you need one. If you want this pony in Skyrim, you can get her here.
NPC Outfit Corrections
Skyrim is filled with all sorts of different NPCs that stroll around roads, towns, cities, and other facilities. They have their odd quirks here and there, but they do play a big part in making Skyrim a living, breathing community. If you want a bit more realism in the game, you can try this mod that modifies some of their outfits to reflect their personality/profession. Here are the changes so far:

Less of That Please
This mod is split into three different modules that affect the game in different ways. That being said, you can all use them separately or altogether, depending on your preference.
- Less Fog Please – Aims to remove the fog, dust, and mist graphics in the game.
- Less Flora Please – Cuts down plenty of shrubs and thins out tree density without completely removing it. Alchemists, on the other hand, can still collect materials used for mixing items.
- Less Clutter Please – Removes some of the unnecessary items in the game, including sacks, firewood, lanterns, baskets, open create, and hay, among other things.

Bridge Under Solitude
When it comes to crossing Solitude and Windstad, you have to swim across a large river. The whole process can feel quite inconvenient, especially when you’re mounted on a horse, so you can use this mod to add a bridge that connects both locations together. That way, you won’t have to worry about getting soaking wet (or waddling through the river) to get where you need to be. Fun fact: it’s also a drawbridge, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be rising anytime soon. You can check out the mod here for more details.
The Richest Merchant of Tamriel
Skyrim aims to make things as realistic as possible, including a limit to how much money vendors can carry. This isn’t the type of game in which you can dump all your trash and make quick coin from one vendor – you’ll need to sell your goods to specific NPCs, and even then, you’ll have to keep an eye out on how much money they have left available. Selling items can become pretty tedious in the long run, especially when you’ve hauled plenty of sellable items. Luckily, this Skyrim mod adds the richest merchant of Tamriel whose pockets are lined with Septims. Just head on over to him and sell everything without having to travel to the next vendor in town.
