Counter Strike: Global Offensive

The multiplayer FPS Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released in 2012. Counter Strike has a long history of being incredibly competitive, and Global Offensive is no different. Players are on one of two teams, Terrorists, or Counter-Terrorists, with the goal of completing objectives such as planting a bomb, or defending a hostage while they eliminate the other team.

Players purchase their weapons at the start of each round using in-game currency they have accrued from completing objectives, or killing other players during the match. With dedicated servers and the ability for players to host their own servers with custom maps and game modes, the community has a ton of options for players to mess around with. Counter-Strike receives maps, game balances, and game modes for free through Valve.
