Battalion 1944: How to Get War Chests

Much like so many other modern online shooters, Battalion 1944 offers players loot boxes to unlock in the form of War Chests. To that end, we’re here to clear up how to get War Chests both through gameplay and monetary methods.

Just like loot boxes in most any other online shooter, War Chests offer players cosmetic items they can customize their weapons with. The skin earned is completely randomized and, should players wish to, can be traded on the Steam marketplace.

And, much like other loot boxes, there are two different methods players can use to get them: They can progress through the game normally and level up their in-game rank; or, they can pay a small fee to unlock a war chest instantly.

Getting More Through Level-Ups

When using the first method, the process is simple. As players play the game, they’ll earn experience toward a new rank level with each match they compete in. For every level they earn, they’ll get a chest they can open to unlock a new weapon skin.

The only drawback will be that obtaining war chests this way can be time consuming, and as a result should be used by those who will have the time to sink into unlocking levels that require progressively more experience.

Fortunately, there’s really no best way to earn experience, so players need simply play the game and advance their rank to properly use this method.

How to Buy Them

The other method available to players is to buy war chests. This can be done by going to the Armory tab from the main menu and selecting the “Buy War Chests” option at the bottom of the screen.

Each chest currently costs $1.75. While this can become costly with multiple purchases, players who can moderate their purchases shouldn’t have much of an issue.

Likewise, this can be done as many times as the player wishes and drastically speed up the process of obtaining new skins.
