How to Use Decisive Battle Signals in Attack on Titan 2

Recommended Videos

Decisive Battle Signals saved our bacon a fair few times in the original game, and they’re back once again in Attack on Titan 2. Sometimes, the odds are seemingly stacked against you and you’re destined to fail an objective. At these points, you’ll want to use Decisive Battle Signals, which not only calls in reinforcements, but also temporarily boosts your stats, heals you, and replenishes some of your resources.

In order to use Decisive Battle Signals in Attack on Titan 2, you’re going to have to do the same kinds of things as you did to use them in its predecessor. With each Titan that you bring under your control in Attack on Titan 2, you’ll fill the Decisive Battle meter in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. You can fill this even faster by completing side quests, too.

Once the meter is full, all you’ll need to do is hit R2 on PS4 or RT on Xbox One and your character will fire off a flare into the sky. Soldiers will drop down to assist you, and the screen will get a washed out effect to indicate you’ve activated a Decisive Battle Signal.

It’s worth noting that Decisive Battle Signals don’t last all that long in Attack on Titan 2, but they can be extended over time by taking down more Titans and completing side quests.
