Astro’s Playroom is full of PlayStation themed secrets and items to uncover. Some of them are nice and easy to spot, but other are hidden away. While there aren’t many collectible secrets in the CPU Plaza section of the game, you’ll still need to know your way around. So that you can progress to the end of the game, here’s everything you need to know about how to get to the basement in Astro’s Playroom.
After beating all four main areas in Astro’s Playroom, you’ll be told to investigate a weird noise in CPU Plaza. It’s clear that you need to get down to the grey box with the sacred symbols on it, which you can see through the glass dome in the plaza’s floor, but it’s not immediately obvious how you get down to it.
How to Get to Basement in Astro’s Playroom
In fact, the way down the basement has been staring you in the face the whole time and isn’t hard to find at all.
If you look by the wall on the left hand side of the GPU Plaza when looking towards the door to the PlayStation Labo area, level in the room with the glass done, you’ll see a set of stairs going down.
They’re hidden slightly behind the trees there and some bots wandering around, but simply jump down and you’ll be in the basement, it’s that simple. You can go there at any time, although you’ll only need to once you’ve completed all the worlds.
It is home to the 1994 Throwback area, which you’ll go into when searching for the noise after visiting each place.
