While Ubisoft’s latest action-RPG mostly takes place in England, there are several other fairly substantial regions to explore. If you’ve played even an hour of the game then you’ll be aware of the Norway starting area, but did you know you can go even further across the ocean later in the game? Here’s how to get to Vinland (North America) in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
If you aren’t up to speed on your history then you may not know that it was actually the Vikings who discovered North America and not Christopher Columbus. 500 years earlier, Scandinavians from Iceland sailed west and discovered what is now Newfoundland, Canada. This area became known as Vinland, and you can go there in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
How to Get to Vinland in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
It forms part of The Order of the Ancients storyline after Eivor has taken out several of its members and spoken with Hythem about one of its members, Gorm. You should remember him from Norway at the very start of the game. Hytham explains that Gorm has left to travel to Vinland, and it’s then that Eivor follows in hot pursuit.
From this moment on, Eivor can travel to Vinland by using the Atlas (press Triangle/Y) and selecting the option (as you can see in the above image).
As for Vinland’s size, it’s not as big as either Norway or England, but as we’ve discussed in our Valhalla map measurement article, it’s a pretty substantial area.
That’s everything you’ll need to know about how to get to Vinland (North America) Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s extensive wiki.
