Where to Find Lions in Assassin’s Creed Origins
Assassin’s Creed Origins gives players a giant recreation of Ancient Egypt to explore, filled with interesting sights, people, and creatures. You’ll run into quite a bit of wildlife in your time with the game, and you’ll even be able to tame certain animals at a point. This includes lions, one of the most fearsome animals in all of Ancient Egypt. There’re a few different locations in Assassin’s Creed Origins, so we’ll help you track them down.
Lions can primarily be found in the south of Assassin’s Creed Origins’ map, in the grassy savanna-like areas. Just roam around for a while and you’ll run into a few. Alternatively, you should also be able to find them just north of Letopolis, near the fast travel point at the fork in the river. Finally, you might also find lions caged up in large camps and bases, although out in the wild is still going to be your best bet.
If you want to tame lions, you’re going to need to have unlocked the skill for sleep darts in your skill tree. You should be able to get it after you unlock Dawn and Dusk, but make sure you actually equip the sleep darts in your inventory. After that just hit left on the D-pad to equip them and fire them like arrows, then once the lion is asleep walk up and hit Y (or triangle) to tame it.
Make sure to be careful tracking down lions, of course, as you might find yourself fighting for your life if you stumble into a group of them. For more on Assassin’s Creed Origins, be sure to check out our wiki.
