Getting Test Your DIY Skills in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

This particular DIY recipe can only be purchased once Nook’s Cranny has been set up and is open for business on your island.

In order to get Nook’s Cranny, you’ll need to wait until the second day. Tommy will then ask you to help build the store by finding 30 Wood, 30 Hardwood, 30 Softwood, and 30 Iron Nuggets.

After finding these and returning them to Tommy, it’ll then take a day for the shop to be open.

Once it is, head inside and walk towards the shelf in the back left corner. Press A and Tommy will ask you if you’re interested in what’s available.

You’ll now see the Test Your DIY Skills option in list of available items that pops up for 2,680 Bells. Now that it’s in your inventory, select it and choose the option to ‘Learn’ it.
