5 Things To Do After Beating Astral Chain (Post-Game/Endgame)

Play Chapter 12 and Its Combat Missions

Astral Chain’s story is made up of 11 different Files, basically chapters by a different name. However, what you might not know is that there’s actually a File 12 to play, started by simply loading up your cleared save data.

While this File doesn’t have a story to play through, it does provide you with a ton of different combat missions to play through.

These missions can be undertaken by talking to Olive in the Command Room, and each one pits you against a tough series of enemies. To make things more difficult you have a pre-selected group of items in each mission, and you won’t have access to your own inventory.

These missions are the most challenging sequences in the entire game, and they’re the main post-game feature you’ll want to play through.

Just make sure you’re ready, so you might need to level up your Legion and weapons first.

Play Through Again on Pt Ultimate

As you beat each chapter in Astral Chain you’ll unlock a new difficulty level, Pt Ultimate, severely bumping up the challenge.

While you’ll probably be able to make it through the game on Pt Standard without too much trouble, the same simply cannot be said for Pt Ultimate.

This playstyle completely takes away your AED revives, meaning once your health is depleted that’s it, you’re dead.

This mode makes it much more important to dodge and avoid damage, as well as exploit the enemy’s weaknesses to take them down faster.

The good news is you won’t have to start a new file, you can just use the File Select option from your PC in Neuron HQ and play through will all of the progression and upgrades you’ve already earned.

Playing the game again on Pt Ultimate is a good way to earn even more experience to get you ready for those combat missions in File 12.

Find All the Toilets and Cats

Astral Chain has a lot of little items and secrets tucked away in its environments, including helpful recovery items and a boatload of Red Matter to clean up, if you want to get the best score at the end of each File.

However, the two main collectibles of the game are Toilets and Cats, with one in each and every File. Finding Toilets will give you a new type of toilet paper that you can give to the Toilet Fairy in Neuron HQ, thus getting rewards.

Finding cats, on the other hand, allows you to save them and transport them to Max’s Safehouse. There you can feed them and generally just look at how cute they are, even take a few adorable photos!

Finish Powering Up Your Legion

Each of the five Legion in Astral Chain level up independently using Gene Code, experience gained through defeating Chimera, and Material Codes, items found in the world or gained through beating missions and orders.

The more you level up a Legion the more powerful they’ll get, and even unlock some super useful new abilities to use in combat.

In order to finish off the skill trees in Legion Learning, you’re going to need a lot of Premium Material Codes, which aren’t always easy to get. You can get quite a few as rewards for the combat missions in File 12, or by playing through on Pt Ultimate.

Try Playing Co-Op

Astral Chain is undoubtedly a single-player experience, but there is an option for playing with a friend if you’re so inclined.

Co-op is a bit tricky to wrap your head around at first, as one player will control the Legion while the other takes control of the main character.

Considering the Legion is tied to the main character you can’t just strike out on your own, but cooperation will be absolutely vital to beating enemies.

You may not want to play the entire game in co-op, but it’s a neat way to shake up Astral Chain’s gameplay with a friend.
