STACK EVERYTHING MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
If you’re tired of moving your casks around your farm one by one, this new mod allows larger items to be stacked in your inventory just like crops, ore, or other smaller things so you will have way more room to organize and rearrange items. Other large items that can be stacked with this addition include scarecrows, furnaces, wallpapers, all furniture, kegs, fishing bobbers, and more up to 999 in your inventory and chests. However, even with this mod, tools, hats, rings, boots, and weapons can’t be stacked due to the technical limitations of the game. If you decide to uninstall the mod after stacking larger items in a chest or inventory, the amount will be reset back to zero.
BREWERY ADDITION
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
This mod adds a new brewery building to NPC character Robin up in the mountain area. This new building can be decorated how you wish on the inside with furniture and has support for seasonal exteriors with 12 skins to use for it that all change with the seasons, the one pictured above is the skin to match the vanilla Stardew Valley. To make it feel more authentic, the building also comes with a large cellar where you can place casks to make you feel more like a brewer.
ITEM FINDER MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
After a few seasons into the game, trying to find where you keep all your items in various chests can be a chore. This mod addresses that problem by allowing you to select any item with a search bar that then highlights which chests on your farm contain at least one unit of that item. A hotkey brings up the input field, and you can adjust the hotkey to your liking after installing the mod. This will be great for keeping track of smaller items like ore that may have gotten mixed with with other things in the day to day farming rituals, allowing you to better organize and keep track of everything.
PRICE DROPS MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
To make the experience of going to purchase items for your farm a bit more realistic, this mod allows you to have discounted prices from stores that are dependent on how high your relationship is with the shop owner. The discounts themselves come at three different levels, 10% at three hearts, 25% at seven hearts, and 50% at ten hearts. Currently the list of all the shops that are affected include:
- Robin (buildings and furniture)
- Marnie (animals and supplies)
- Pierre
- Harvey
- Gus
- Clint (regular shop and tool upgrades)
- Sandy
- Willy
- Krobus
- Dwarf
- Wizard
At the moment, Robin will not offer house upgrades at a discounted price with this mod, but that is said to be planned for a later release. If you are starting a new save, this mod would be a fun one to try out as it might force you to focus on townspeople relationships early in the game to get the most out of your farm right off the bat with store discounts.
SAFE LIGHTNING MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
This new mod out last month stops lightning from hitting anything on your farm except for the trusty lightning rod. Gone are the days when you had to worry about your stuff getting destroyed, and all without sacrificing those sweet, sweet batteries. While the lightning animation will still happen, your trees, crops, and flooring are guaranteed to stay safe.
TRIGGER SPRINKLERS MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
This mod adds a simple change to your Stardew Valley game, allowing you to activate your sprinklers whenever you want at a push of a button. By just right clicking on any of the sprinkler types, you can choose to activate them so they will water any crops within their radius. This would be especially useful if you are setting up a new area in the middle of a day, and don’t want to hand water all your new seeds after already placing a sprinkler that won’t go off until the next day.
BACKWOODS ADDITION AND INN MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
Another building addition mod, this one adds an giant inn to the backwoods in your Stardew Valley game. The inn is massive in size with a lobby and three floors with a total of 15 rooms for visitors to spend the night in. Each floor is connected and allows you to travel between them by just using the stairs, and the third floor allows an exit through the back so you don’t have to climb all the stairs again to leave the building.
POKECROPS ADDITION
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
While putting actual Pokemon you can catch into Stardew Valley is not a thing yet, you can still make your game feel like a Pokemon RPG with these skins for crops that make them look like the berry plants found within the mainline Pokemon games. In Pokemon, these bushes house berries than can be used for a variety of things like increasing Pokemon stats, creating Pokeblocks, weakening certain enemy types, curing aliments, and more. It would pair very well with this other mod from August 2017 that puts even more Pokemon textures into the game, including the ability to change your dog into a Vaporeon, your cow into a Miltank, your horse into a Meganium, and lots more. It won’t be long now until modders turn Stardew Valley into a fully fledged Pokemon game.
FLOWER VALLEY MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
This mod entitled the Flower Valley Mod grants a new recoloring for all town buildings with an overly flowery theme. Huge bushes of colorful flowers drape across the sides of buildings, and change with the season so they always look appropriate. As well, some tidying up was done to the buildings, fixing and replacing broken items or trash from the sprites so they look clean and fresh just like the flowers themselves. While this mod only redecorates the outside of buildings, it is recommended you pair it with the ‘A Toned Down Stardew Valley’ mod that fully decorates the inside and matches this style.
FLOWER VALLEY MOD
Best Stardew Valley Mods of April 2018
Following off that last flowery entry, this one changes the appearances of all the flower crops you can grow in Stardew Valley. It gives them a much more whimsical feel, with new flowers like red roses and lavender appearing in this mod and not the original game itself. It’s stated in the mod’s description that this is an upload of a previous mod that was very popular but is outdated with bug issues, and this content pack has been vetted to ensure it runs smoothy from now on.
