Marvelous AQL held a livestream event recently where they announced three new titles into their popular Senran Kagura series.
Dekamori Senran Kagura is probably the most outrageous of the three, being a (in their words) “big breasts hyper cooking battle” rhythm game. The downloadable title for the PS Vita will feature gameplay that involves pressing buttons in -time with prompts that will flow across the screen in rhythm to a song. The more accurate you are, the bigger the dish you are cooking becomes. It seems Persona wasn’t the only series thinking of moving towards more musical directions.
Included in the announcement is a ridiculous animated teaser that should at least give a sense of the…atmosphere(?) of the game.
Next title announced is the proper sequel to the series Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson for the Nintendo 3DS. A proper sequel, the game will feature two new playable characters and load of new modes and mechanics involving partners and co-op. The game was shown off on the stream and it appears to be an advancement in many ways including graphics and gameplay from its predecessor.

Lastly is Senran Kagura EV (short for Senran Kagura: Estival Versus) a multiplatform title for Sony consoles. It’s unknown at the time which console it is so it might show up on either the Vita, PS3, and even the PS4. Not much is known about this title aside from the fact that it is related to the Vita’s Senran Kagura Versus title from last year.
