Heavy Weaponry
Heavy weapons differ from long weapons by taking an even greater sacrifice in speed and a huge reduction in range for the sake of immense damage. Despite their weight, these weapons are more mobile than spears and halberds that fall into the ranged category, allowing players increased parry speed. Thus, heavy weapons offer a good median between the lumbering long weapons and the mobility of one-handed weapons. While swinging time on heavy weapons is abysmal, any hit struck upon an enemy will devestate them, and the ability to more quickly parry can allow a playstyle reminiscent of Dark Souls. Players who prefer heavy weaponry can expect patience fights, singling out targets, countering them with parries, and then giving big swing to dispatch them all at once.
