Spike Chunsoft
Spike Chunsoft is yet another developer who’s been confirmed for Switch support, but hasn’t announced any titles coming to the system. One thing to keep in mind is that many of Spike Chunsoft’s titles are published by other companies in the West, like Aksys publishing Zero Time Dilemma and NIS publishing Danganronpa V3. Regardless, even looking at the Japanese site for the Switch doesn’t show any recent or upcoming titles from Chunsoft.
With its portable nature, the Switch would be a perfect fit for many of the studio, especially considering their strange Danganronpa series. Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony just released in Japan on January 12, with a western release coming later this year. Other recent releases like Zero Time Dilemma and Exist Archive could also be ported to the Switch, helping to round out the lineup of third party games. Yet, we have’t seen mention of what the studio might have planned for the new system.
It’s important for Nintendo to have the support of third party developers, both in Japan and the West. Hopefully, studios like Spike Chunsoft will start having things for Nintendo fans to look forward to.
