Dark Souls Remastered (Oct. 19)

Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls needs no introduction at this point, but it’s still exciting to see that From Software’s popular game is finally coming to the Switch in October. That said, it’s still worth noting that Dark Souls Remastered on Switch is a little different from its console counterparts, which released earlier this year.

The Switch version runs at 30fps in both docked and handheld modes, and while it does get all of the nice quality of life improvements, it’s definitely not as impressive as the console versions in terms of graphics.

Still, getting to play Dark Souls on a portable device is pretty amazing. If you’re new to the series, this is definitely a great entry point.

Players will take control of the Chosen Undead, who’s tasked with exploring the fallen kingdom of Lordran, and ringing two bells in an effort to rekindle the flame.

And those are our picks for the best Nintendo Switch games to have on your radar in October 2018. If you’re looking for a full list of all Switch games releasing this month, we’ve got you covered as well.
