Deus Ex: Invisible War – 15th Anniversary
The recent Deus Ex titles, Mankind Divided in particular, haven’t performed particularly well, leading to some uncertainty about the series. However, this month marks 10 years since arguably the height of the series’ popularity.
Deus Ex: Invisible War, the second game in the series, launched in North America on Dec. 2, 2003 and aimed to be more accessible than the first, without losing what made it great.
It took place 20 years after the events of the first game, and was praised for its detailed story that was full of interesting and well acted characters. Some of the gameplay elements were diminished in quality by the changes, by it was still praised across the board.
Where the Deus Ex series goes from here, it’s difficult to say, but you can celebrate the release of the second game this month as the fall releases slow down.
