Avengers: Infinity War will be having a lot of MCU characters show up to fight Thanos, and now joining the ranks is Doctor Strange. Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed that his character, whose solo film arrives this November, will join the two-part flick.
“To get us all together will be quite something,” said Cumberbatch in an interview with Empire. “That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter… So watch this space to see how that unfolds.” It’ll be something a “logistical challenge” to get him, Robert Downey, Jr., Elizabeth Olsen, and Paul Bettany on screen, but it’s happening.
Strange will join the old school MCU members–Captain America, Hawkeye, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk–along with Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, War Machine, the Vision, and Spider-Man. The Guardians of the Galaxy will be in the film as well, because when it’s Thanos, you need all hands on deck.
Doctor Strange comes to theaters on Nov. 4. Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on May 4, 2018.
