To say that Season 1 of Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist failed to meet expectations would be a bit of an understatement. What many fans expected to be a season stuffed with well choreographed fight sequences and hokey comic book mysticism, were met with what can only be described as a daytime soap opera stamped with a Marvel logo. You can’t keep a good billionaire turned martial artist down however, as Marvel and Netflix have rolled out a new trailer for Iron Fist Season 2.

Season 2 picks up after the events of The Defenders, which saw Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil, sacrifice himself (kind of) to stop The Hand from taking over New York City. In the wake of Matt’s death, Danny vowed to take up his mission of protecting Hell’s Kitchen. The latest trailer for Iron Fist Season 2 shows Danny making good on this promise, donning a mask to take on crime in Daredevil’s absence. Getting in  Danny’s way is Davos the Steel Serpent, arguably the best part of the first season, who’s out to make Danny’s life a living hell.

The trailer also foreshadows the Daughters of the Dragon, with Colleen Wing and Misty Knight looking to have plenty to do in their supporting roles.

Iron Fist Season 2 officially hits Netflix on Sept. 7.
