After witnessing T’Challa, aka Black Panther, who is played by Chadwick Boseman, take up the fight in Captain America: Civil War, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say many a Marvel fan has been waiting for more news on the newest addition to the Marvel Universe line-up. Not only was Black Panther an interesting and welcome team member for the Avengers’ last cinematic quarrel as Iron Man and Captian America waged war around the globe, but the images and cast announcements have rallied much support for the upcoming, stand-alone film.

So, of course, today with a new poster released by Marvel Studios, as well as the promise of a trailer coming out tonight, it’s news worth sharing. But you may have to watch a little basketball if you want to watch the premiere live. A small price to pay if you are a die-hard Marvel fan.

At this time, there is only a brief description available about the story of the Black Panther movie, stating that T’Challa must defend his home, Wakanda, from coming destruction planned by forces outside and within. But there are plenty of details on the cast. A lot of heavy hitters fill out the roles nicely. Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station, Fantastic Four), Lupita Nyong’o (Queen of Katwe, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit series, Sherlock) are only a few of the leading actors in this star-studded and talented crew.

If you are hoping to catch the teaser on a TV screen near you, Game 4 starts at 6pm PST (9pm EST).

Black Panther will be in theaters February 16th, 2018, so mark your calendars Marvel fans.
