Congratulations! You’ve finally got your shiny new Xbox Series X or Series S, and you’re probably looking forward to redownloading some of your favorite games from your library and trying them out on the powerful new console. Figuring out how to do this can be tricky though, which is why we’re here to help with a guide on how to redownload games on the Xbox Series X and Series S.
How to Redownload Games on the Xbox Series X
It’s fairly easy to redownload games on the Xbox Series X and Series S once you know where to look for the option.
To start, go to the home screen to view the console’s primary menu. This can be accessed when you boot up the console or, if you’re in the middle of streaming or playing a game, by pressing the Xbox button.
From the home screen, scroll over to the My Games and Apps tab and select it. Doing so will open up a new menu, from which you can select the Full Library option to view every title or app you’ve ever owned. Select it, and then look for the All Owned Games tab to view any games that you’ve purchased through your account.
From here, you can choose to redownload any of these games onto your Xbox Series X or Series S, and they’ll be stored on your console until you choose to delete them.
That’s really all there is to it. It can be a little time consuming if you have a lot of games you want to redownload, but otherwise it’s a simple process that’ll barely register as a speedbump on your way to playing titles on your new console.
