A couple weeks back, 2K games released the Borderlands, BioShock, and XCOM collections for the Nintendo Switch. By and large, these have been really great ports. Visual downgrades are expected, of course, but the gameplay experiences have been smooth and are certainly worth looking out for if you want to check these games out on the go.
However, if you’re planning on picking up the BioShock Collection for Switch, there’s a bug that could cause your save files to corrupt. It’s been reported that if the game crashes while you’re playing, when you reboot the game there’s a chance that the save file you were playing on could get corrupted.
Thankfully, there’s a workaround for this issue. Whenever you save your game, make sure to save in two separate slots. That way, if the game crashes and corrupts your file, you’ll at least be able to load up the backup file and continue from there, and you should certainly continue to save twice as you go on.
This was an issue present on the PC version of the game as well, and there doesn’t seem to be any proper fix for it just yet. For now, it’s recommended that you save twice, and save often to prevent any lost progress.
