How to Get Perch in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope

Recommended Videos

Early on in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, you’ll just be trying to get your bearings of your environment and just how everything works. One particular mechanic will see you trying to rebuild the town after the storm that rolled in pretty much trashed everything. As such, it’s down to you to rebuild it doing all kinds of typical Harvest Moon-related tasks, and one of those is to get Perch.

To get Perch in Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, you’re obviously going to want to get yourself a fishing rod. After you’ve actually got a fishing rod, it’s a simple case of knowing where to go to give you the best chance of getting Perch. We found that heading to the river in the south of your farm was the best spot for fishing for Perch in Light of Hope. You don’t even need to leave your farm, it’s just the little river patch that runs in the southern section of your farm’s land.

When you’re here, face the river and press X if you’re playing on PS4, or A on Nintendo Switch. You’ll probably want to try using the normal bait as it helps speed the fishing process up. Wait until you see the nibbling of a fish around your float. When the fish bites down and an exclamation point pops up, you’ll want to start tapping X/ A as fast as you can to reel it in.

With these tips and a bit of luck, you should be able to get the Perch you need to help restore the town. For more information on Harvest Moon: Light of Hope, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
