How to Improve Cardio in State of Decay 2

Recommended Videos

Cardio is one of the most important elements to keep in mind when playing State of Decay 2. It determines your character’s stamina, and also influences how much weight they can carry and how long they can sprint for. When you’re combing through the zombie-infested world for resources and find yourself surrounded by enemies, it can be pretty handy to have good Cardio so that you are able to run away from the encounter when the need arises.

Every character in State of Decay 2 starts off with different stats, but generally all of them can improve their Cardio simply by sprinting around the map and climbing over obstacles as you play through the game naturally. As you do this, your character’s stamina will also increase over time, and before long, you’ll be able to start unlocking more advanced athletic skills. By specializing in Cardio, your characters can also unlock perks like reducing the stamina cost while sprinting, or even increase the amount of weight that they can carry at any given point in time. This will give you quite a bit of utility in all sorts of situations in the game, so we recommend looking into it when you get started.
