Why Can’t You Use Search Party in Fortnite? Bans Explained

This will help you figure out bands within the Fortnite Search Party feature.

In an effort to improve Fortnite inclusivity, Epic Games recently added a new feature to the game called Looking For Party. This feature lets players set tags to their profile and invite others based on shared tags. Though, as with everything in Fortnite, there are always those looking to exploit the system. Due to that, there is a new ban system in place that we will explain to you that keeps banned players from using any sort of party search.

How To Get Blocked From Search Party in Fortnite

At this moment, exactly how or why you might get banned from the Search Party or Looking For Party systems isn’t exactly known, but we can guess it is largely through player reports. Though, there is information out there that tells us how you will know if you have indeed been banned.

Firstly, thanks to Fortnite dataminer @iFireMonkey, we know these bans are possible in the first place.

Banned players that presumably still try to utilize the Looking For Party feature will see the following message: “Due to your recent behavior you have been banned from using Looking For Party.”

The fact that social tags make players more visible who might have otherwise just played solos does certainly add a new level of complexity to the game so it is understood that not all thrown-together groups will mesh. Thankfully, it is likely none of these applied bans will be permanent but used instead to cool off the players who have been reported by their newfound parties.

That should be everything you need to know about bans involving the Search Party feature in Fortnite. If you have any further questions, don’t be afraid to ask them in the comments and we will get back to you.
