After 2021’s Old, M. Night Shyamalan is set to roll out his next thriller in the form of the feature film, Knock at the Cabin, and as per Deadline’s report, actor Rupert Grint has now been the latest addition to the film’s cast. Not many details are known about the horror thriller, but it does pack some star power.
Grint is joined by Nikki Amuka-Bird, who also appeared in Old, as well as Dave Bautista for the Universal Pictures release. Shyamalan will lead the writing, directing, and producing of the film, which is also set for a February 23, 2023 release.
The addition of Grint to Knock at the Cabin will see the two reunite after Apple TV+ series Servant, which just ended its third season last month. Having received the 2021 Hollywood Critics Award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama,” Grint will be hoping his partnership with Shyamalan continues to bear fruit.
Amuka-Bird can be seen in the BBC One drama, Gold Digger, and is also currently involved with the HBO comedy, Avenue 5. She was nominated for Best Leading Actress at the 2017 TV BAFTA Awards for her performances in the BBC adaptation of NW.
Shyamalan’s Old ended its worldwide box office run at $90 million in 2021, and everyone involved will be hoping that Knock at the Cabin does similarly or even better, continuing his record of films that open number one at the box office.
