In this guide, we’ll be explaining everything you need to know on whether or not you can repair weapons in Dying Light 2, so you can keep hold of your ol’ faithful when you find a particularly powerful or rare weapon. Here’s everything you need to know.
Weapons in Dying Light 2 have a durability meter. The more this is filled, the better condition your weapon is in. As you use a weapon, it’ll degrade in durability and the meter will decrease. You can check the durability of each weapon by opening your inventory and hovering over them.
Given there’s an extensive amount of mods available for you to customize your weapons, so players may be wondering if it’s possible to repair weapons so you don’t lose a lethal combination.
How To Repair Weapons in Dying Light 2
From our time in the game so far, unfortunately, you cannot repair weapons in Dying Light 2.
Once a weapon’s durability reaches 0, it’ll break and be removed from your inventory. Even if you stop using your melee weapon before it breaks, there’s no option to repair weapons at workbenches or via a vendor, either.
The game therefore forces you to keep switching weapons throughout your adventure, scavenging the world for new makeshift melee weapons you can bop the undead with until they stop twitching.
This may seem like a bit of a strange move, given the fact there’s a weapon mods system at play here, too, but these only grant your weapons a boost until they break, so don’t get too attached to them.
