Because this is a JRPG, you’ll need to pay attention to your character levels and experience gains. While being high leveled doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be able to beat all of your opponents with no difficulty, it definitely does help as your stats will increase, making you more powerful.

Leveling Up Fast in Shin Megami Tensei V

There are two main ways of leveling up quickly in Shin Megami Tensei V, as listed below:

  • Fighting enemies
  • Completing quests

The first method is pretty self-explanatory; essentially, you should be battling as much as possible whenever you enter new areas and encounter new demons. If your enemies’ levels are on par with yours, you’ll gain a decent chunk of experience as opposed to enemies that are way below you. If you feel like your foes are out-pacing you, stay near a leyline fount so you can heal and save, while grinding out battles in the vicinity to get your level up.

The second method is far more efficient, and is something you should be doing at all times. Whenever you’re exploring the map, you’ll find demons and NPCs with a quest marker above their heads. Talk to them to accept a sub-quest, and when you complete it and turn it in, you’ll be rewarded with thousands of experience points for your entire party.

Some sub-quests are pretty easy and only require you to turn in items, while others may require you to fight mini-bosses or kill a specific number of demons. Either way, these are all worth grabbing as you come across them, and will help you level very quickly.

That’s all you need to know about how to level up fast in Shin Megami Tensei V. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
