Your backpack is a pretty important tool in Eastward, as it allows you to store food, which is used for healing your characters while you’re in a dungeon. Increasing Backpack Size in Eastward
The good news is that it’s possible to increase your backpack size by purchasing upgrades. We were able to purchase those upgrades once we finished the first chapter of the game and headed up to the surface world for the first time. He’ll sell you backpack upgrades which increase your backpack size by one slot each. All subsequent upgrades will cost 50 more Salt, so make sure you have enough with you before you start buying them.
