Some of the content will be shared between games, but Cold War will be getting more than the battle royale. We’ll start with what you can expect form the more recent Call of Duty title.

First of all, a new expansion will be coming to Zombies – called Outbreak. Outbreak is a large scale mode set in a new Ural Mountains location. There will be new enemies to take on, objectives to complete as a team, vehicles to pilot, and intel to find.

Elsewhere in Black Ops Cold War, four new Operators and six new weapons are coming as part of Season 2 (as well as to Warzone). The Operators are:

  • Naga (Warsaw Pact)
  • Maxis (NATO)
  • Wolf: (NATO)
  • Rivas: (NATO)

The first of those (Naga) will come to the games on Season 2’s launch date, which is Feb. 24, while the others will arrive later in the season. You can check out the Call of Duty Season 2 breakdown for their full backstories.

As for the new weapons, they are:

  • FARA 83: Assault Rifle (In Battle Pass)
  • LC10: SMG (In Battle Pass)
  • Machete: Special (In Season)
  • E-Tool: Melee (In Season)
  • R1 Shadowhunter (In Season)
  • ZRG 20mm: Sniper (In Season)

The first two will be unlocked at specific levels in the battle pass (which are yet to be revealed) and they others will come later in Season 2. You can check them all out in the trailer for the season below.

There will also be four new multiplayer maps added to Black Ops Cold War throughout Season 2. They are:

  • Apocalypse (6v6, Day 1)
  • Golova (Multi-Team, In Season)
  • Mansion (Gunfight, In Season)
  • Miami Strike (6v6, In Season): Daytime version of Miami

Apocalypse is the only one arriving on Season Two’s launch day, but the others will be scattered throughout the rest of the season.

Finally for Cold War, there will be new Prestige emblems for you to work towards by playing multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.

Speaking of Warzone, Raven has teased what will be coming to the hugely popular mode, although details are still a bit vague. A huge ship is approaching Verdansk, and will likely dock at Port, in the south of the map. The description of it reads:

“Last sighted off the coast of Rebirth Island, recent intel suggests that the cargo tanker Vodianoy has gone missing at sea. However, recent visuals have identified a vessel matching the description heading toward the Port of Verdansk. Operators within the vicinity are recommended to exercise extreme caution, as the ship is carrying unknown cargo, and its crew are not able to be contacted.”

There will also be new points of interest coming to Verdansk, which are yet to be revealed, as well as two new modes coming to the side modes of Warzone. Exfiltration will be coming later in Season Two and Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme will be coming at launch.

All that suggests we’re still going to be waiting for the new Warzone map that everyone is asking for. Hopefully Raven saying “Meanwhile, within Verdansk, something major is beginning to rumble deep underground,” suggests something is coming soon that’ll shake up Warzone significantly.

Before the update is playable, “Black Ops Cold War will receive a rolling update on Feb. 23 scheduled between 9pm and 11pm PT, and Warzone will receive a rolling update on Feb. 24 between 9pm and 11pm PT.” Everything will then be playable from 11pm PT on Feb. 24.
